(E)-N-((3-(3,3-Diisopropyltriaz-1-en-1-yl)-1-ethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)methyl)acetamide (57.7 mg, 196 μmol, 1.00 equiv) was dissolved in 20 mL of dry methylene chloride under nitrogen atmosphere. 2,2,2-Trifluoroacetic acid (67.0 mg, 45.0 μL, 588 μmol, 3.00 equiv) was added and the mixture was stirred at 21 ⁰C for 16 hours. The reaction was diluted with 20 mL of saturated K2CO3-solution and the aqueous phase was extracted with 3x 20 mL of methylene chloride. The combined organic layers were washed with 20 mL of brine and dried over Na2SO4. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure to give the crude product.
