The starting material 4-chlorotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline (90.0 mg, 438 μmol, 1.00 equiv) and sodium;methanolate (68.0 mg, 1.26 mmol, 2.88 equiv) were added to a crimp vial and methanol (2.00 mL) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred at 25 °C for 20 h, then water and EE were added and the aqueous phase was extracted 3x with EE. The combined organic phases were dried over Na2SO4, filtered and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure.
