Triphenyl-[[4-(triphenylphosphaniumylmethyl)phenyl]methyl]phosphonium;dibromide (22.0 mg, 27.9 μmol, 1.00 equiv), dimethyl 2-formyl-3-((E)-2-(3-((E)-2-(3-(octyloxy)quinoxalin-2-yl)vinyl)-6,7-diphenylquinoxalin-2-yl)vinyl)quinoxaline-6,7-dicarboxylate (59.5 mg, 58.6 μmol, 2.10 equiv) and sodium;methanolate (7.54 mg, 140 μmol, 5.00 equiv) were put under argon. Then dry dichloromethane (1.00 mL) and dry methanol (500 μL) were added and the reaction was stirred to 50 °C for 12 h. Methanol (2.00 mL) was added to precipitate the product.
