Benzene-1,3,5-triol (60.0 mg, 476 μmol, 1.00 equiv), 4-azido-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzoic acid (347 mg, 1.48 mmol, 3.10 equiv), DMAP (5.81 mg, 47.6 μmol, 0.100 equiv) were solved in DCM (10 mL). DCC (304 mg, 1.48 mmol, 3.10 equiv) was added and the mixture was stirred for 72 h at 19 °C. Ethyl acetate was added and the solids were removed by filtration. The solvent was evaporated and the residue was purified by column chromatography. 10:1 to 1:1 cyclohexane/ethyl acetate to give benzene-1,3,5-triyl tris(4-azido-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzoate) (219 mg, 282 μmol, 59% yield) as a colorless solid.
