Triphenyl-[[4-(triphenylphosphaniumylmethyl)phenyl]methyl]phosphonium;dibromide (60.0 mg, 76.1 μmol, 1.00 equiv), 3-((E)-2-(3-((E)-2-(3-(octyloxy)quinoxalin-2-yl)vinyl)quinoxalin-2-yl)vinyl)quinoxaline-2-carbaldehyde (100 mg, 168 μmol, 2.21 equiv) and sodium methanolate (20.6 mg, 380 μmol, 5.00 equiv) were put under argon. Then dry dichloromethane (2.00 mL) and dry methanol (1.00 mL) were added and the reaction was stirred to 50 °C for 12 h.
